IMO GOVERNOR'S POROUS LEADERSHIP WILL HASTEN PDP COME BACK - OKEWULONU

A former Secretary to the government of Imo State, chief Chris Okewuonu has taken a swipe at the leadership style of the state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, describing it as a disaster and nothing to write home about.

Speaking to some curious journalists who accosted him in a function for comments recently, the former Secretary said that the alleged abysmal display of the governor is working in the favor of his political party, the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

According to chief Okewulonu the 2019 governorship election in the state is for the PDP to lose because the governor's five years in power have brought untold hardship to the people of the state.
On if the governor amends his alleged mistakes before the next general elections , the PDP chieftain was quick to say "governor Rochas Okorocha is irredeemable. Even if you like give him all the time in this world he will not do better. His administration is a total disaster".

Speaking on the PDP crisis in the state, he maintained that there is no misunderstanding in the party, rather normal intraparty affairs which he averred would make the party better and in pull position to reclaim the state as quickly as possible.

On the crisis which has led to fighting with bottles and other weapons of mass destruction, Chief Okewulonu replied "there is no crisis in our party. What is happening is expected and it is within the context of intraparty activities. I see PDP bouncing back stronger and reclaiming the state in the next general election.

The politician dismissed fears that the PDP congresses in the state will be bloody, adding that the party is a disciplined one and that every member of the party will play according to the rules. Chief Okewulonu also charged his party to a elect a quality, strong and courageous state party chairman who will lead the party to electoral successes in less than three years time.
