Man Arrested For Raping His Wife's Sister For Years In Lagos

The Lagos state police command have arrested ‎36 years old Imeh Akpan, for allegedly raping his wife's 15 years old sister, for 10 years. Parading Imeh before newsmen at the state police command in Ikeja today April 13th, the state police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, said

"The teenager has been living with him since she was small. He started raping her when she was five-year-old. She lives with him and his wife, who’s her step-sister and he has been defiling her since then. But he was eventually caught at the weekend after the girl ran out of the house and was rescued by some policemen".

When interrogated, the victim whose name was not disclosed, said ‎her sister's husband who she refers to as Daddy, raped her last Sunday

"My daddy (suspect) raped me because my mummy travelled to Akwa Ibom last Wednesday. I was sleeping on Sunday, around 10pm, my daddy came and removed my clothes and slept with me. He used the towel to cover my eye and my mouth but I was still shouting and crying. He said nobody will come and help me. So, I ran out of the house when i got chance. After I ran out, I begged my neighbour to give me phone to talk to my mummy (half sister) and he said there is no credit in his phone. So, I ran towards the police station at the roundabout. On my way there, I saw one man who asked me where I was going. I told him everything and the man said he will take me to police station and to human right. So, he now took me to hotel that I should come and sleep in hotel till morning before he will take me to the station. I followed the man and I now said I cannot sleep with him inside the hotel. When I wanted to close my eyes, I was now seeing the man as if his hand was touching me in my dream. I could not close my eyes. Around 3am, I told the man I want to go and ease myself and he allowed me. The man now said since I want to go and report everything at police station that he will use his own money and that the money will be N50, 000, that I should do him a favour and enter the room. I did but the man wanted To Molest me also and I shouted before the owner of the hotel came and opened the door. That was how I ran outside. As I was walking on the road, policemen saw me and I told them everything and they called one Okada man to take me to Lion Building. He has slept with me two times. The first time was last year. I told my mummy everything when she came back from church because my daddy told her that I ran out of the house. When I told her, she believed me but when my uncle now denied, he claimed that I left the door open and someone entered the house" she said

The suspect claimed he was drunk and did not know when he committed the crime

"She is like my daughter and it is an abomination for me to sleep with her. I have been the one training her since she was a baby. I was drunk and I did not know anything. It was the police that invited me and told me I raped her. I did not even know. It is only this once I have done it. I do not know what came over me,” he said.

The police say he will soon be charged to court.

Promise Uzoma Okoro is a Ngerian Blogger born on the 15th Day of April 1991 into the Families of Mr and Mrs Okoro Chukwu of Umuachiki Amaokwelu Alay in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. 
The Birth of Promise Uzoma Okoro was generaly seen by Family members as a  Divine Plan of God to savage his Mother Mrs Oyidiya Okoro who had gone through severe Trauma in the hands of the Wicked Enemies who almost succeeded in making her Insane forever. 
 In 1996, Promise Uzoma Okoro was enrolled by his Mother into Alayi Central School Alayi in Bende Local Government Area were he perform excellently from Nursery to Primary 3.
his brither performance in His academical pursuit attracted Teacher and Friends around Him like the proverbial golden stone that can never be hidden form the sun rays of time.
In His Primary school, he was elevated by the management of the school to the position of Flag-bearer which made him to be a Middle man between the Headmistress of the school and the Pupils' After completing his Primary Education with a First School Leaving Certificate, Promise was again in 2003 enroled into Alayi Secondary Commercial School Alayi in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State were he continued to showcase the qualities of Intelligency in Him. 
In December 2005,Promise Uzoma Okoro who had went into Kerosene Bussiness had no option than  to follow his Sister  to the City . Promise  was taken by his Sister to Ahoada in Rivers State in January 2006 were he was Introduced into Hawking petty Goods like Satchet Water,Bread,Orange,Plantain,Nylon Bags in the bid to help his back ground . Through out his Secondary career in Rivers State, He was not allowed by his Sister to attend classes on market days their in  Ahoada Rivers State as he was expected to hawk out money for that Day. 
Despite not attending classes on Market Days, his School, Western Ahoada County High School Ahoada made him the President of the School Debate Team because of his Oratorical Skills which paved way for him to serve the School as the First Non-Indegent Librabry Prefect in 2008/2009 academic Session. After finding out that his Sister had concluded that he wont be registered  to seat for  the West African Senior Secondary School Examination, Promise  asked the Sister to send hm back to the Villiage,which after much pleadings, he was finally taken back to the Village. Every Mother in the Villiage is praying for her Children to leave the Village to the City,Promise Uzoma Okoro’s mother was not left out as the Mother Mrs Oyidiya Okoro busted into tears when he saw her son returning back to the Villiage,but little did she know that,God was about Introducing her Son to the new version of his old history. After spending only two Days in the Village,Promise Uzoma Okoro travelled back to Ahoada in Rivers State after getting Transportation fare from his Aunty, a Custard Producer based in Aba, Abia State. On arrival at Ahoada,Promise Uzoma Okoro apparently got confused of what to do and where to go, He bursted into tears over what Fate that await him since he had no one to accommodate and take care of him,but while he was still weeping,God through one of his Classmate in the Secondary school  introduced him to a Staff of Ahoada East Local Government Area who gave him a Room in the quarters allocated to him by the Local Government Authorities. That was the beginning of Promise Uzoma Okoro’s sojourn to Bachelorhood as he stood the challenge of feeding and taken care of other needs for himself. In December 2009,Promise Uzoma Okoro penned  his First Motivational Book Titled A KNOCK DOWN IS NOT A KNOCK OUT ,according to him the book came from the inspiration God gave him that the down fall of a man is never the end of his Life.  Again in 2011,Promise Uzoma Okoro released another book with the Title YOU ARE BORN WITH A VISION,at the beginning of the Release of the books,many people thought he was merely joking,but few months later,the proceeds gotten during the Launching of the Books paved way for his University Admission expenses.
 Promise Uzoma Okoro got Admission to Study Mass Communication at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology Portharcourt,Rivers State Just after spending one Year at the University,a great challenge came,this time it was the plot by the enemies to kill Promise Uzoma Okoro who after seeing and hearing the good news around him. Promise stood, faced, battled and defeated the challenge,despite the fact that Close Families and Friends gave up on him during his trial times as people went in town with the News that the Worst has Happened.  In 2014,Promise Uzoma Okoro ventured into blogging and writing  specifically on the Political Developments in Nigeria,he tried many Platforms until PUO REPORTS a name he carved out from his initial P =Promise U=Uzoma O=Okoro finally introduced him to many Powerful Individuals in Nigeria Promise Uzoma Okoro referred to as PUO is a youth with inspired history and challenges which where made a history today when looking at him from all the angles of life. he is a dogged youth who never ventured into the lucrative business of sycophancy which is being exhibited by youths of nowadays.

Supporters of former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo celebrated, his 45th birthday anniversary in Warri, Delta state.
Vanguard reports that Austin Ozobo, the president of Ijaw Peoples’ Development Initiative, and Dickson Bekederemo, the president of Niger Delta Security Watch Organisation of Nigeria, were among the guests attending the party.


Tompolo who had been earlier declared wanted by the the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was absent during the celebration. Though in his absentia, his friends, kidsmen and supporters decided to prepare a beautiful 45th birthday cake for him.

BEAST IN GUISE OF HUSBAND

Instagram user, Oye Ajakaiye, shared photos of this woman who was allegedly battered by her husband at their home in Lagos yesterday April 12th. According to Oye, the woman said she was beaten up by her husband because he felt she was becoming very proud due to her successful trade as a hair stylist. Oye wrote;

"I'm sad!!! This is my hairstylist! She has a very good braiding salon somewhere in yaba...i've referred a lot of my friends to her shop! I had to call her after i saw her post...i was hoping she will say she was involved in an accident but she said her husband did this to her! Why WhyAccording to her, her shop has been closed down since friday because her husband believes she's getting proud because she has a successful business! I wouldn't post this because i like to get my facts right but i thought about her...i know her, very hardworking woman & no one should do this to anyone regardless! She also said this is not the first time!! Real men don't beat women! I'm thinking Grace & i'm also thinking we will find this man & lock him up!!! Say no to domestic violence! Why would you do this to anyone?

ANOTHER SCHOOL BUILDING COLLAPSES AT ORJI, IMO STATE-

Another substandard school building built by the Rochas Okorocha administration collapsed at Orji Primary School, Owerri North of Imo state last Sunday (yesterday). Thank God it was not a school day, the lives that would have been lost and the casualties are better left to the imagination. Rochas is indeed working!

A 25 YEAR OLD MAN DID THE UNTHINKABLE

A 25-year-old man identified as Ajayi Kehinde did the unthinkable on Monday evening when he drove his SUV close to a canal, parked and jumped into the canal and drowned.
The incident happened at a canal at Oke Afa in Isolo area in Lagos State, western Nigeria.
He parked his SUV at Pako bus stop opposite the canal before committing suicide.
The incident drew the attention of people who were returning from various work places.
The police later confirmed that Kehinde drowned in the canal and that his body was yet to be recovered.
An eye witnesses said the incident happened at 5.30 p.m. and that onlookers could not rescue him.
The address of the victim is not yet known. His name was known through his identity card found in his car.
What might have caused the victim to commit suicide in such manner was not yet known as the police said they would conduct investigation when they get details about him.
As at the time of filing this report, the body had not been recovered as it seemed the police do not have the necessary equipment to do so.
The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Dolapo Badmos confirmed the incident.
She said the police were making efforts to recover his body and that necessary steps would be taken to unmask the circumstance that led to such extreme decision by the victim.
P.M. NEWS gathered that his SUV has been recovered and parked at the police station.
